When the first trailer of Megan’s horror movie “Jennifer’s Body” was officially released a lot of people signed the waiting list for watching the film. If in “Transformers” you have the chance of seeing Megan Fox scared and hot, in this one Megan Fox isn’t scared anymore but very very creepy and scaring. I could say the film is close to past movies with urban legends and some people said before it, that Megan Fox has walks only with the body through Hollywood. I do not agree. The actress makes a good part although the movie is scary only for children.

The Time Traveler’s Wife (2009)

Rachel McAdams the actress from the leading role of “The Notebook” plays in a movie that travels through time. The love and the romance has never been so unsafe in a fantasy drama from past to future. Eric Bana is the lover that has a funny quality: he can travel through time. The bad news is that he doesn’t know when and how. I could call this the most romantic movie of the year and I recommend to watch it with your girlfriend/boyfriend. I almost forgot… the film has some good jokes too.

Definitely a girl movie. The message of the movie, as I understood it, is that everything happens for a reason and all you need to do is to keep your eyes open. It could be a movie about regrets and that you might wake up one morning and look back at your life and realize that you have missed some chances. Depends on your mood but I choose to see the optimistic side. Are you prepared to answer the question that this movie asks you?.“What would you do different if you could relieve your life?”.

Final Destination (2009)

2000, 2003, 2006 and 2009. This year’s episode of how you can cheat death turns a race car into a nightmare. If you don’t know the story of “final destination” movies I’ll tell you shortly that some people always run from death, but in the end not so many will return to their destiny. This part we are talking today didn’t scare me at all but it reminded me of how stupid can be the death of a person. I recommend you this movie in 3D because the director shows us a large quantity of flesh and blood that will freak you out.

Spread (2009)

This is a waste of time. However, some realities are featured which I found interesting. What I’ve learned from this is that you should not sit down at the movie and expect something certain, because in most cases you will be disappointed. So what I try and do, is find hidden meanings for the scenes or characters and try to find stuff beyond the obvious. Ashton Kutcher fits well in the role (along with the hot, naked chicks), but, to put it lightly, “Spread” is not a movie to watch over and over again.

Public Enemies (2009)

Depp (J. Dillinger) and Bates (M. Purvis) are both playing in a film that I found simply surprising. The story goes about the crime war between the 1930’s gangsters and the US government. A cliché some critics might say. Without spoiling the pleasure to watch it, I will say this: Depp and Bates are again proving they are phenomenal actors, M. Mann, the director, recreates the 30’s like I’ve never seen in a long time and the movie gets a well deserved 7,5 on imdb.com. Thumbs up from my side!

Angels and Demons (2009)

I liked very much the “DaVinci Code”. I saw the movie and also read the book. Now I was quite eager to see the second part and to elucidate mysteries. Like always I was a bit disappointed. The symbols were quite simple, the action nonrealistic and Tom Hanks, whom I liked once, is getting older and older. I was surprised of how many scenes were filmed in Vatican and Rome, and how exposed was the Catholic Church. All in all if you like this kind of films you should see it. You actually might enjoy it.

Kobe Doin’ Work (2009)

From the start you’ll realize the obvious: this is a documentary about Kobe Bryant and the way he is “Doin’ Work”. For all Kobe fans this must be something of a delicious piece not only because of the 3 dozen cameras and microphones dedicated to The Black Mamba, but also for the clear quality pictures and details visible throughout the 90 minutes, however Spike Lee’s message becomes evident at the end. All in all it’s not bad, but even as a fan of Kobe, I don’t think I’ll watch this again any time soon.

I must say I love mystery movies and when it comes to Russell Crowe you’ll know for sure that he doesn’t accept crappy scenarios for his character. A journalist tries to solve a murderer for his paper story, but when he reaches a crime linked to a congressman (Ben Affleck) he knows he is after something much bigger. Clenched between his editor and a very good friend, Cal McAffrey plays with his life attempting to collect evidence. For 2 hours your eyes won’t move from the screen.

The Damed United (2009)

Movies based on true stories usually are quite good and The Damed United is no different. The whole thing features a few key episodes from the staggering carrier of the famous English football coach, Brian Clough. For those of you who haven’t heard of Mr. Clough, he was the Muhammad Ali of football, with some of the most amazing achievements in the history of the sport and a charisma to match them. However the end is quite memorable proving that Clough held a few things higher then his own ambitions.
